Test Manager
£300pd – £320pd (Outside IR35)
2/3 Days in Wolverhampton

Our client, who specialise in document digitisation, have a need for a Test Manager on a greenfield system implementation with a new client of theirs.

KEY TASKS

  • Experience in developing and implementing Functional and Non-Functional test strategies and test plans.

  • Develop a clear test strategy, methods and standards addressing core areas like security, performance, resilience, and interoperability to provide guardrails for release.

  • Develop test cases, test scripts, and test data covering both functional and non-functional needs and ensure they appropriately tested with clear gates introduced when tests fail to demonstrate sufficient quality.

  • Plan for test environments closely mirroring production, specifying required configurations, and tools required.

  • Provide regular test progress reports to service owners, product managers, technical leads, and other stakeholders, aligning updates with project milestones and business objectives.

  • Promote continuous improvement by implementing best practices, industry standards, and emerging technologies relevant to network and infrastructure testing.

  • Create documentation for the testing process, including test plans, test reports, schedules, and dependencies.

  • Strong communication skills and able to work collaboratively, where required as part of a team.

  • Highly technical with a background in delivering testing and/or quality assurance on large complex programs.

  • Proven track record of completing projects to specifications while dealing with changing schedules, cross-team dependencies, and evolving requirements.

  • Strong in risk and issue management.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Use of all Test Tools, Jira, Confluence, Hubspot

  • ISEB/ISTQB Foundation in Software Testing and qualifications relating to test management (e.g., ISTQB Advanced Test Manager).

  • Full lifecycle testing experience – from Unit testing through to Acceptance Testing.

  • Project lifecycle experience in the delivery of end-to-end projects, as well as familiarity with different development methodologies and disciplines (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, DevOps).

  • Good SQL skills.
