Business Transformation Case Study
IVC Evidensia – Group People Programme – Ceridian Dayforce
The CIO and HR Director of IVC Evidensia invited Zenzo Digital to source and place a permanent HR Transformation lead to lead on the strategic direction and delivery of a European Wide (20 countries) HR and workforce management Transformation Programme affecting people, process and technology for a fast paced, fast growth (through acquisition) organisation. The person Zenzo placed became the Group Director of HR Services & Technology.
This was, and still is, an ambitious Transformation Programme not least because each country (and in many cases regions) has their own labour laws and ways of working to satisfy, but also because the company was made up of lots of small to medium sized entities that had merged via acquisition to form a Group. This meant that there were multiple versions of HR policies and procedures that required redefining and streamlined with new processes, new ways of working and then a new joined up system implemented across the organisation. Dayforce was the technology selected.
In addition to developing in house transformation capability, external HR consultancy was engaged to assist with mobilisation and some aspects of delivering change and the HRIS Vendor and a Service Integrator were selected for the technical implementation. Zenzo Digital were then asked to identify key resources that would work client side but working in tandem with IVCE’s partners to help deliver across the Transformation.
Some of these key skills placed and supplied included; Workforce Management Lead, Head of PMO and PMO Support, Programme & Project Managers, Business Analysts, Data Lead, Reporting and Data Integration resources, Change and Communications Leads, Solution Delivery, Azure Integration Developers, Trainers, Module SME’s such as Recruitment, plus Solutions Architects. In addition to this, and when the system started to go live in each country, Zenzo placed a new People Services Team including the Manager and Administrators underneath. We also placed other resources with pure HR Domain knowledge in HR Policy and Procedure definition.
Key to the success of these placements was a good understanding of the client, working closely with the business, and prior expertise in delivering resources for other Transformation programmes. Dayforce was in the early days of expanding in Europe. It had been implemented in a number of businesses but not many people with Dayforce skills, had come on to the market yet. This meant that we needed to identify similar candidates and contractors with other HRIS (where required) experience, but prior transformation experience that knew what good looked like.
Since then, Dayforce has grown significantly, and we now have a strong network of professionals to offer to clients with Dayforce experience, plus our existing network of HR professionals and those candidates with other HRIS vendor experience.
Zenzo applies a consultative partner approach to resourcing such programmes and this applies to Finance and Digital Transformation programmes as well. If you have a transformation programme that requires high quality resources being deployed quickly and professionally, then please do get in touch with us to learn more and see how we can assist you.
It feels as if Zenzo, Ashley – you and your team have been on a journey with IVC Evidensia for the last few years and it does feel like a true partnership. You have supported me with the Group People Programme’s resourcing needs since the outset, really understanding the journey the organisation is on, the ebbs and flows and challenges. The ability of you and your team to partner intimately with the organisation and its goals has been key. We are blown away by your flexibility and commitment to us as a client, and we do forget that you’re not ‘officially’ a member of the IVCE team because of your understanding and the level of support. Putting it another way, ‘you are part of the IVCE’ team and we couldn’t do it without you!
