Our client is a leading business providing fund administration, corporate services, and private wealth/fiduciary services. They operate in The Channel Islands, UK and internationally.
The purpose of the IT Operations Manager is to lead the day-to-day operations of the IT function, ensuring the effective delivery of technology services, application support, change management processes, and supplier management across the Group.
The IT Ops Manager plays a key role in aligning technology with business needs, including driving improvements in Desktop performance, security, and user access. Traditional Infrastructure is supported by an external MSP, but support of business applications and processes is internal and this person will oversee both areas + projects.
Key responsibilities:
Working closely with the Group Operations Director:

Manage the IT Operations team (1-3) and oversee the management of IT Ops inbox and MSP requests ensuring it is managed effectively. Triage with service providers through to resolution.

Manage the Starters, leavers and joiners process and user access controls liaising internally with HR & stakeholder and external suppliers

Ensure Change Management Protocols are met in line with ISAE3402 requirements whenever Desktop or Software changes are made.

Work with the IT Managed Service provider to support the delivery of the Citrix desktop to all users and manage the Gold Image.

Ensure compliance with IT Cyber Security/Data Protection/Regulatory Obligations at all times by liaising with MSP and others on incidents, managing email quarantine and completing phishing campaigns to train users.

Manage all software applications and supplier relations including:

Triage support calls between business and supplier

Oversee Software licencing needs, delivery onto the Citrix Desktop and pricing

Provide access, reporting and business process in relation to NavOne (D365 based product) Support and leading on QBR’s and monthly reviews (collaborate with Finance in relation to Practice Management queries and with Client Facing teams in relation to the admin and client accounting modules)

Provide day to day support on the Risk Module liaising with Elixirr on fixes and upgrades

For all Smartsheet processes support and build business processes/workflows from stated business requirements to drive process improvements

Supporting the Head of IT in developing and executing the Group’s IT strategy, budgets, policies & procedures, ISAE3402 controls and management of IT risks

Drive continuous improvement in IT operations, identifying opportunities for automation and enhanced service delivery.

Manage IT assets, licences, and software inventories across the Group.

Support the planning and execution of IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new platform rollouts.

Providing regular updates and reporting to senior leadership on IT operations, risks, and performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Substantial experience in IT service delivery roles, with at least 3-4 years in a managerial or team lead position.

Experience in managing IT operations within financial or professional services is highly desirable.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft 365, Azure), networking, and IT security.

Experience managing Business Applications

Proven experience in managing third-party suppliers, IT procurement, and project delivery.

Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation, COBIT, Prince 2, CompTIA Security+ and Microsoft Certified Courses such as 365 or Dynamics 365.

Able to work in Basingstoke office 3 days per week with some additional travel to other sites on rare occasions
