Our client is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their Systems Engineering and Cloud Team supporting key Business Applications built on Serverless Architecture in Azure.
This is a great initial 12 month fixed term contract opportunity for an Engineer that has deep experience in traditional on-premise Infrastructure at a 3rd line level that has spun up VMware and other Servers in Azure but now looking to move into supporting Serverless Architecture. You don’t need to have commercial experience of this yet although that would be welcome, but must have some demonstrable exposure to it privately at least and wanting to move into this area. This is supporting key business applications and can be delivered 100% remotely.
The role will have 3 aspects to it:
BAU support of tickets. Not front line but 3rd line escalation point from the Service Desk requiring deep troubleshooting and fix
Service Request, New Starters, Role vs Permission levels
Project Work – Upgrades, replacements of old, new implementations. Single Sign on with Azure. Hosting Apps from scratch, networks and firewalls, user groups, admin, ownership, documentation, etc.
You will ideally be a 3rd Line Engineer having worked your way up from Service Desk. You will have good VMware or Hyper V, Windows Server Architecture, good Networking around IP addresses, DNS, DHCP, routing. Firewall experience useful but not essential and you would have spun up Servers in Azure.
You will have either started to get into Serverless Cloud commercially or have this set up privately and want to focus in this area now. This is a great contract to get more experience in this area or break into this area to develop your career.
100% remote working but you must be UK based for Connectivity reasons
